“This was absolutely a once in a lifetime opportunity. I have met some great friends, had the privilege to have 2 great guides show me around Africa all the while doing something I love. I know I will return home with great stories and experiences I will never forget. Overall a great program.”
Julie Dopheide (Sweet Briar College – USA)
“I loved everything about it – it was truly an experience that I will remember forever and I learned so much that I had no idea about before I came here. This was the first time I have ever been abroad and for me I am definitely glad I chose this trip. It is everything I thought it would be and much more.”
Julie Poirier (Nova Scotia Agricultural College – Canada)
“I’ve learned so much about myself throughout this expedition. I’ve gained experiences that I could have never gained elsewhere. I loved the hands-on approach. I loved working at CLAW, with Dr. John and both our guides – they were great! I’ve made friends, I will definitely recommend this expedition to others.”
Kelly-Ann Farrell (University of Queensland – Australia)
“This experience was one of the best in my life. I would definitely come back again and wouldn’t change this experience for anything in the world. The friends you make are people you will talk to for life. The places you go and people you meet really have a positive impact – it was just awesome!”
Kristin Gonczar (University of Melbourne – Australia)
“This trip was an amazing experience, I’m so glad I came. I never expected that I would have such amazing learning opportunities, or such wonderful people on my trip. I wish I didn’t have to go back home, and that this trip could just last forever.”

"This trip far exceeded my expectations. I didn’t realize I would fall completely in love with South Africa. It has taught me a lot about myself and now I have a clearer picture of what I see myself doing after college."
It gave me huge insight into what I want to do as a career in the future, taught me above and beyond what I had expected and provided me with experiences I never thought I would be lucky enough to do in my lifetime.
Ron Faneli, Dad of Samantha (Shortened letter)
Just wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU for Samantha's recent trip. There is no other way to describe it other than to say she had a blast! From what she has talked about (pretty much non-stop), the other members of the group were great (they are all FaceBook pals now trading tons of pictures). We loved her stories and the 1,000+ photos she took. She had no complaints, and from our perspective the trip was everything you promised and more. It is nice these days to encounter an organization and a group of people who deliver what they promise and who obviously pride themselves on delivering a unique and rewarding experience for those who travel with you on what for Samantha was the trip of a lifetime. She’ll treasure her experiences and memories pretty much forever…..and it is all due to EcoLife and your talented, pleasant and professional staff – in which I include everyone they came in contact with (yourself included).

"The amount of activities, animals and places throughout South Africa that we got to see in 3 weeks is crazy. I feel that I saw every animal I wanted to and got to pet and play with so many more animals than expected".

"I would definitely recommend it to others. It didn't even feel like a class because everything was so hands on."

"There are so many different aspects of this tour that are out of this world and you can't believe you are doing, that every day seems to be the best day of your life. The tour lets people experience Africa in a way most people only dream of doing it."

"Very useful and interesting information that isn't readily offered in veterinary schools. I loved the hands-on activities and applying those skills and lessons learned to various tests and challenges along the way. EcoLife ignited an intense passion for wildlife management in me. I was continuously challenged and pushed to the limit, and I emerged a more knowledgeable, confident individual with surefire passion for a career in wildlife medicine."
