Yes. Safety is a priority on every EcoLife expedition, and camping is conducted in secure, designated campsites. Where camping forms part of an expedition, participants stay in fenced and controlled camps specifically selected for group safety and comfort. Participants are never expected to camp out in the open bush without appropriate protection. Camps are secured, and groups are accompanied by experienced EcoLife staff who provide guidance on camp safety and wildlife awareness. As with all wildlife environments, participants are briefed on appropriate behaviour around wild animals and are required to follow the safety instructions provided by EcoLife staff and our professional conservation partners. Camping is an important part of the EcoLife experience, allowing participants to experience Africa's natural environment while still enjoying the security and facilities of a properly managed camp. Our aim is to combine adventure with responsible safety — giving participants an authentic field experience without compromising their wellbeing.
